As many people today may feel, especially after 9-11, finding out who is in the country illegally is a good idea. It may not be the right thing to do, in turn; it may just be the best thing to happen.
Not knowing if someone is the country illegally is not one of the biggest concerns on the masses minds. But if that person is dangerous is. With a new national ID card, not only will you know if they are illegal, but if they are capable now or in the past to cause harm. “Critics argue Real ID licenses will create red-tape nightmares for millions of citizens — without making them safer.” (Katel, 2007). To me, I don’t mind illegals. They don’t file taxes. This leaves moneys paid in taxes to be used for what the government whishes. At least that is what the money should be used for.

As technology advances, so does the human thirst for these devices. This dates back to the beginning of man. When one man had fire, another longed for it too. Still, we have advanced past the fire, or have we?
Take into consideration a little device that almost every American has, uses, and some can’t live without. The cell phone. This wonderful technology is the new fire. With it you can send/receive a call, text, take pictures, go online, download, listen to music, almost what every someone can shrink down and put into the palm of your hand. Take for example the new Apple iPhone. In estimates that have been reported, the iPhone has sold over 700,000 in the first three days on the market (“iPhones Fly Off the Shelves,” 2007). What is it that makes what to have that much control in our hands? Is that we as humans have to feel the power of something that can do everything or is that we just need to have stuff. And lots of it.
There was an excerpt of an article on cq researcher that I had heard a little about on the news. There was no author given and a search of the site led to a dead end. I couldn’t say if it is a credible source or not. Like I stated before though, I had it on the news as well. I know that doesn’t make it credible, but it does make another source for the information.
Is it fair or even right that one can call another a name and if someone else uses that same name they could get in trouble? Sounds confusing, which it really isn’t.
As I was growing up, I was faced with adversity at a young age. Since I moved around as a child, I had to learn to adapt. I have gone to school where there were no persons of an ethnic minority. While on the other hand I also attend some where Caucasian was the ethnic minority. Does this make me a better person? I do believe so. Since I have been faced with the issue of ethnic diversity. So I was reading an article that stated, “… Imus was fired in April for describing black female athletes in the degrading terms used commonly by hip-hop performers” (Katel, 2007). So this to me brings up the argument that Caucasian people have to watch what they say about other ethnicities. While members of minorities have for years been saying what they want to about the Caucasian race. You hear in rap songs them saying “My n@##!”. You also here them calling Caucasians “Honkey, Cracker, Whitey”. Is it right for this to happen? I say no. I have no problems with any ethnic group, I just they would all relax.

I love to listen to hip-hop, rap, R&B music. But when I read something like this, it makes no sense. Found it on cq researcher. States that when famous people use this language in their music, passes it on to others, and get upset when it is used by someone of a different skin color. I’m not saying it was ok to say what Imus said. I’m just saying that you can’t get angry when it happens.

You needed to have 3 CQ ABs. Also, ABs need to be formatted where you put the bibliographic citation first, and then follow with the paragraph or two of annotation. Did you accidentally leave off a citation here?
