D#1,HW#1, Reading Reflection
As I started reading the syllabus, I thought to myself, "There is a lot of work to do". How am I going to be able to do all of this? Yet continuing on to read the syllabus, I also realized that everything was laid out very nice. It was easy to follow along with instructions and what the expectations are. The textbook itself is a resourceful reference for a writer. From showing you how to identify your audience and planning an essay. To thinking critically and writing an argumentative essay. I also found that a lot of the website links on the instructors blog took you to websites that had most of the same information. Which will be helpful when needed. In the ten habits of successful students portion of the book, there was one habit for me that is tough to change. That would be to put studying first. With my job I am on call 24/7. I get up at 3 o'clock in the morning. And I am at work till between 2pm (on a good day) and 5pm. With that early of a start time at work, I can't put studying first. And when i do get home, it is nice to relax for a bit. I will work on making more study time, just might make the lady of the house upset. Less time to spend with her.
